Novelember day 21

1300 words today! felt better thankfully... enough of a mind to string words together. I re-edited what i wrote last, rearranged some things-- what I wrote last proves how wacky my brain was. there was some good stuff in there, but it was in a weird order. I wasn't thinking straight. i wonder what has caused this... mild covid, flu, or trazodone withdrawal...?

I also looked at notes for a character, which i needed to do to move forward and understand where his character arc is going. he needs to have an arc, to move forward, in other words. to be main part in this end time. I also got sidetracked w social media, because my mind isn't back to normal yet, and i wanted to put some ideas down. ideas springing out after several days of "rest".

started and finished 1 scene, and finished this chapter-- it seemed like I had a good place to end it. Getting to the end of this mini arc! going toward some more scary stuff/climax (seems like this mini arc may be a good thing after all... though perhaps a bit too much of a diversion. too early to tell. it does help us see how the character dynamic is... of course give us this breath to 'pause' before the plunge.... put some foreshadowing in there, and revisit some previous themes. which I didn't fully realize we'd be doing until I got here. makes sense tho. with the villain's machinations which will only intensify coming up) whew! getting to the end of my energy for the day. getting hard to make words and make my muscles move. thoughts are hard.
