2500 words today!
I edited what I wrote last time and wrote down notes. I reviewed notes that I felt were relevant, including of a character I hadn't seen in a while. I researched about how people come out of comas. I typed up the notes and organized them-- some fore reference later, some to build the next scene.
Sketching future scenes include ideas for pieces of action, dialogue etc. I flesh it out more as I go along-- as I get closer to the scene in question. future scenes are vague. immediate scenes get more concrete but still not filled in very much until I write. just suggestions. because the scene must be dynamic, must not be straightjacketed by preconceptions but must be living, because the people inside the scene are living and spontaneous things happen irl. so I can't tamp it down too much beforehand.
while I'm writing, I jot down notes that I think of in my notebook which I'll type up later while organizing them.
